What should I pack in my backpack?

In addition to the basic items such as ID card and/or passport, money (not too much cash), a mobile phone adapted to contact the project organizers, mosquito net and mosquito repellent, sleeping bag, raincoat, personal hygiene products: deodorant, shower gel or shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, sunscreen, first aid kit with band-aids, gauze, and adhesive tape, necessary medication (ibuprofen, paracetamol...).

When traveling to an unfamiliar country with a very different culture from our own, it is important to consider our attire and behavior.

It is often said that less is more. But being practical, good footwear is always necessary as you never know what you might encounter. Additionally, pack long pants and comfortable short-sleeved shirts (avoid very flashy clothing). Often, you will be dealing with different cultures, religions, and traditions, so it's important to be as discreet as possible.

First and foremost, a medium-sized backpack for everyday use because you won't be going back to your accommodation throughout the day and you'll need to carry everything you'll need. Wet wipes are lifesavers in any bathroom emergency or situation, and hand sanitizer is also essential. Scissors are important too. A thin towel is practical because it dries quickly and takes up little space. Another essential item is flip-flops as you will use them a lot in the accommodation, both for showers and to rest your feet after a day in boots or sneakers.

But one of the most important things is a notebook and a pen, as the best ideas always come when we don't have something to write with.

While it's crucial to pack for an experience like this, the most important thing is the backpack full of stories you bring back home.
